Can Social Media Help South Carolina Alliance Raise Funds To Fix Our Roads?

It's been revealed that the South Carolina Alliance to Fix Our roads has begun using the power of social media networks to help raise awareness and funds to fix damaged roads throughout Greenville County.
Since launching the campaign last week, the group has attracted more than 850 "likes" via their Facebook page, along with permission from approximately 300 individuals to contact their emails for future support and information about the fundraising drive.
In a statement from the executive director of the organization, Mr. Bill Ross:
We feel this is an effective way of doing it because its much easier method for people to make contact, learn more about the issue and also get them involved,"
It's hoped that the visitors to their page will be able to see the facts about the dangers of bad roads along with the organization's video about the topics and contact local lawmakers into providing more "meaningful" funding to fix these roadways.
