Hurricane Florence has intensified to a Major Hurricane.  Latest observations reveal maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. here is the summary of the 5:00 A.M. advisory from the National Hurricane Center:

The latest forecast has the hurricane path trending more to the north, which increases the likelihood of landfall near Wilmington, NC.  However, there is enough uncertainty that the path could still bring Florence ashore in South Carolina. Residents are urged to monitor the situation closely and begin prepartions now.
