Driver In Fiery Highway 276 Crash Identified

Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fatal crash near Mauldin on Saturday.
Authorities with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened just after 11 a.m. on Highway 276 under the Southern Connector.
Investigators said a pickup truck traveling west went off the left side of the road and struck one of the bridge supports.
Witnesses told WYFF News 4 the truck caught on fire after the crash.
The truck driver died at the scene of the crash.
The Greenville County coroner's office identified the driver as Michael Travis Spence, 43, of Fountain Inn.
The coroner said Spence died of blunt force trauma to the head and body.
