AP testing is underway at high schools throughout the US
The testing started earlier this week and will continue through next week. AP classes are some of the most rigorous classes taught in high school and in South Carolina are weighted more heavily than regular classes and even honors classes, which can raise a student's GPA. AP classes are taught at the college level and students can potentially earn college credit in addition to high school credited. The results of the AP tests that the students are currently taking will determine whether a student does receive college credit. Scoring is on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the best. 4s and 5s earn college credit at most schools and 3s earn credit at many schools. 1s and 2s do not typically earn a student college credit at any college or university.
The children and friends of many of our attorneys and staff are taking AP tests. We wish them all the best of luck.
