Millions of pounds of food have been recalled due to concerns of listeria and salmonella contamination. Most of the foods are ready-to-eat salads, meat and poultry items. The USDA has designated this a Class I recall.
Class I recalls: This is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.
Harbin & Burnett urges everyone to check to see if a potentially contaminated item has been purchased and return for a refund if so.
