This weekend, a 30 year old motorcyclist was killed when he ran off the road and struck a mailbox. He leaves behind 4 daughters. He was not wearing a helmet. Motorcyclist crashes. Harbin & Burnett strongly urge all motorcycle operators and passengers to wear a helmet. it is the single best way to prevent fatality or serious injury. The NHTSA estimates that helmets saved 1772 lives in 2015 and would have saved an additional 740 more lives if all motorcyclists wore one. In SC the law doesn't require you to wear a helmet, but rationally there is no good reason no to wear a helmet. For more data go to NHTSA.
