Swim advisory remains for parts of Myrtle Beach, SC

DHEC has lifted the swim advisory for parts of the Grand Strand, but some areas remain under advisory.  If you are travelling to the beach this weekend, please make note of the affected areas.

They are 200 feet north and south of the following streets:

16th Avenue North in North Myrtle Beach

34th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach

11th Avenue North in Surfside Beach

3rd Avenue South in Surfside Beach

The swim advisory is in place due to high levels of bacteria.  DHEC officials say it is fine to use the beach and even wade but care must be taken to avoid swallowing any ocean water.  Persons with cuts or open sores are advised to remain out of the water entirely.  For more information and to see the latest water testing results, go here: DHEC Ocean Status.

Harbin & Burnett wish you fun and enjoyment at  the beach but take care to protect yourself and your family.
