Pedestrian Killed in Drunk Driving Accident

On Saturday evening, a late night car crash led to the death of a pedestrian who was hit was hit by a drunk driver. Jason Barrett was driving south on Chesnee Highway when his vehicle struck Doyle Ray Burke who was walking down the highway.
Burke was flung into the northbound lane where he was struck by two other vehicles. Burke was pronounced dead at the scene and Barrett was charged with one count of felony driving under the influence.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the wreck.
