South Carolina: The pollen strikes back!
Ah, the time of year that South Carolinians both love and dread. Warm weather is returning, daylight savings time is in effect, and it is soon time to plant gardens. People are spending more time outdoors, grills are firing up, and people are getting to enjoy their back porches and decks. But can they? Because everything is covered in a yellow film. Yellow water runs into the storm drains. Pollen! The needed bane to people with allergies in South Carolina. Watery and burning eyes, sneezing, sore throats. These are all symptoms of allergies. Even people without allergies complain of the amount of pollen. And people also turn to medicine to relieve these symptoms.
Harbin & Burnett urges everyone to be careful when taking medicine, either prescription or over-the-counter. Make sure you know how this medicine will interact with other medicine you are taking. Be careful if you consume alcohol. Many medicines that provide relief also cause drowsiness. So be careful when operating an automobile or other heavy machinary. Unfortunately, too many people ignore this advice and accidents happen.
