We are in the midst of Spring Break for our schools and universities. Many students travel to beach locations such as Daytona Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, or Key West. People also visit the big amusement parks such as Disney World. So expect traffic to be extremely heavy this time of year, especially along the major interstates in SC, GA, and Fl. Allow yourself additional time to arrive at your destination, don't drive while sleepy, and don't engage in distracted driving such as texting while driving. Be aware of sudden stops on the interstate.
Students and families also travel abroad during this time of year. And it is important to remember that laws are different in other countries and you may not have the same rights as you do while in the US. While planning your visit, and again, just before leaving, it is a good idea to see if the US Government has issued any travel advisories for the country you will be visiting. The complete country by country list can be found here.
Have a great time but remain vigilant.
