A man was struck and killed by a train Monday night in Greenville County. The coroner has identified the man as 27 year old Anthony Dempsey. The accident remains under investigation. For more information: WHNS
Last year the number of railroad trespassing fatalities reached a 10 year high in the United States. 888 people died due to train related incidents last year and 575 were considered trespassers. Trespassers are pedistrians that do not have permission to be on the tracks or on railroad property. The majority of deaths are to people age 20-39. For more information: NBC
Harbin & Burnett strongly urge you to exercise extreme caution around railroad tracks. People simply do not appreciate the danger of fast moving trains. Do not be a statistic. Stay off the tracks.
